Mykolaiv: an eye-reaction test instead of a polygraph for a business, a farm or a family
Mykolaiv is known as the city of shipbuilders: it grew around a shipyard founded where the Inhul flows into the Southern Bug, and in time became a city of factories and of ports, both sea and river. The region around it is grain country: the main crops are cereals and sunflower, and farming is one of its key industries. Where there are workshops, quays and large farms, family questions are joined by workplace ones: metal, fuel, tools, grain — everything that passes through many hands.
Picture a ship repair yard. For a repair job the crew was issued sheet metal, cable and paint, and once the work is handed over some of the materials are missing. Suspecting the whole crew spoils relations in the team; pointing at one person risks a mistake. In a case like this everyone who had access takes the test, and each answers the same question about a fact: “Between September 1 and September 30, did you take materials out of the yard without paperwork?” The test is voluntary, each person gives written consent, and before testing staff an employer should talk to a lawyer.
Another example is fuel on a farm. During harvest several machine operators refuel the machinery, and over a month consumption comes out well above the norm. A question for each of them might be: “In July this year, did you drain fuel from the farm's machinery?” Those who took nothing need this check as much as the owner does: it lets them clear themselves of suspicion.
Checks like these are what a visit should be planned around. The specialist drives to Mykolaiv, which is a full day on the road, so we bring the whole crew or shift together for one trip and arrive in daytime. On site, a foreman's office or a meeting room is enough, as long as it is quiet and has a table and a power outlet; people come in one at a time. If the yard, warehouse or farm is not in Mykolaiv itself but in or near Pervomaisk, Voznesensk or Nova Odesa, the terms are the same. What a visit and the online test cost is shown further down this page.
And a word about the word. People say “take a polygraph” about any lie detector, and we understand the word the same way. But we do not bring a device with sensors on the body to Mykolaiv: the EyeDetect camera records eye reactions while the person reads statements on a screen and answers them, and a classic polygraph is a separate method that we do not work with. If the question is a family one and concerns one person, no visit is needed at all: the VerifEye online test is taken on a phone at home, in Mykolaiv or in any town of the region.

Common reasons to book a test
Theft or missing money
When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.
Infidelity in a relationship
We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.
Job candidate or employee
Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.
Dispute without evidence
A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.

Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 and needs no visit.
A specialist can bring EyeDetect to your office in Mykolaiv, and job candidates can take the VerifEye online test on a phone. Only a person who has given written consent takes the test. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter than for a private test, so talk to a lawyer before such a test.
Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.
No Ukrainian law bans private voluntary polygraph tests or regulates them specifically. General rules apply, including the Law on Personal Data Protection: data may be processed with the person's voluntary, informed consent. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter, so talk to a lawyer. In criminal cases in 2023–2024, Ukraine's Supreme Court did not accept a polygraph examiner's conclusion as independent evidence, and our result is not court evidence either.
