The Kraków — Tirana flight takes 1 hour 50 minutes, and a one-way ticket costs roughly UAH 770–7,100, depending on the date. • Can my partner take a lie detector test for infidelity in Tirana?

  Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ €49), and you do not need to wait for a visit.

• Can I take the test in Ukrainian or Russian in Tirana?

  Yes. You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. We do not run the test in Albanian. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.

• Is a lie detector test legal in Albania?

  We found no Albanian law that regulates or bans private voluntary tests. The polygraph appears only in rules for the public service: Law 95/2016 on the Special Prosecution Office and the National Bureau of Investigation, and Law 128/2021 on the Police Oversight Agency. Albania is not in the EU, so the GDPR does not apply directly. Personal data is protected by Law No. 124/2024, in force since 31 January 2025 and aligned with the GDPR, and it is supervised by the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection. Under Article 8(4) of that law, consent is not free if the person is under pressure or if the parties are unequal; this matters when an employer orders the test. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter: Article 33 of the Labour Code allows an employer to collect only information that relates to the employee's professional skills or is needed to perform the contract. We found no separate guidance from the Commissioner on polygraphs, so talk to a lawyer before such a test. In Decision No. 20 of 20.04.2021, on the vetting of candidates for public office, Albania's Constitutional Court stated that polygraph results in no case have the value of evidence. We also found no decision of Albania's High Court accepting a polygraph as evidence. Our result is not court evidence.
