Common reasons to book a test
Theft or missing money
When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.
Infidelity in a relationship
We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.
Job candidate or employee
Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.
Dispute without evidence
A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.
Debrecen, Szeged and other towns in Hungary
The VerifEye online test can be taken from any town in Hungary. EyeDetect visits to other towns work the same way: we set the date once several requests come in from the region.

Questions about the test in Budapest
We have no office in Budapest, so there are two options. You can take the VerifEye online test today on your phone, in a quiet room at home or at work. The EyeDetect test takes place during a specialist visit, in your office or a rented room in Budapest.
VerifEye online test: UAH 2,500 (≈ HUF 17,700) for one question, UAH 4,000 (≈ HUF 28,400) for three, UAH 6,000 (≈ HUF 42,600) for six, with no extra charges. EyeDetect with a visit: from UAH 10,000 (≈ HUF 70,900) for one question and UAH 15,000 (≈ HUF 106,400) for three, plus travel from Lviv and the venue. Prices are in hryvnias; forint amounts are approximate, at the NBU rate of 15.09.2026.
We do not promise an exact date: trips to Hungary are scheduled once several requests come in from the region. We agree the date with you in advance, a specialist comes from Lviv with EyeDetect equipment, and the test takes place in your office or a rented room. If you need an answer sooner, you can take the VerifEye online test today: the test takes 15–20 minutes, and the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test.
The direct bus from Lviv to Budapest takes about 13 hours by timetable. A one-way ticket costs roughly UAH 2,000–4,000 (≈ HUF 14,200–28,400) depending on the dates. The direct night train takes about 14 hours, and with one change in Szolnok the journey takes about 11 hours; we quote the rail fare separately once the dates are known. A bus to Kraków or Warsaw plus a flight to Budapest takes longer than the direct bus, so we treat it as the last option. Travel and the venue are paid separately from the test, and we will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are agreed.

Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ HUF 17,700), and you do not need to wait for a visit.
Yes. You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. We do not run the test in Hungarian. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.
Hungary has no law that specifically allows or bans a private voluntary lie detector test. The polygraph is mentioned mainly in laws on state bodies. The Criminal Procedure Code (Act XC of 2017) treats instrumental testimony verification as an evidentiary act. It may be carried out only with the consent of the witness or suspect, and the statement of a witness under 18 may not be tested. A private voluntary test falls under the general rules: the GDPR and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011, supervised by the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), plus the Civil Code rules on personality rights. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter. In case Mfv.I.10.904/2011 the Kúria, Hungary's supreme court, awarded a bank employee HUF 1,000,000 over a polygraph test. His written consent did not make the test lawful: consent in an employment relationship is not treated as free. So talk to a lawyer before testing employees. Hungarian courts do not accept the polygraph as evidence. The Kúria in case Bfv.III.953/2012 and the Budapest Court of Appeal (Fővárosi Ítélőtábla) in case 5.Bf.106/2018 held that it is not a means of evidence. In 2025 the Győr Court of Appeal (Pf.III.20.129/2025) rejected a privately commissioned polygraph report in a civil case. Our result is not court evidence either.
