Lie detector test in Chernihiv: on-⁠site visit or online

Chernihiv stands on the Desna, 140 km from Kyiv by road and about 690 km from Lviv. So people in Chernihiv have three routes to a test rather than two. The first is VerifEye, the online test on a phone, which needs no trip anywhere. The second is a visit by our specialist from Lviv with EyeDetect, which you have to wait for. The third is our partner's office in Kyiv: it suits those who work there or go there on business anyway. At the partner's office a family test costs UAH 8,500, while screening and a theft-related test cost from UAH 5,500; a visit to Chernihiv costs UAH 12,000 all-inclusive. The region is large, the third biggest in Ukraine by area, and from some of its towns the regional centre is further away than the capital. Nizhyn is about 80 km from Chernihiv, Bakhmach 145 km by road, Ichnia 157 km and Pryluky 165 km, and Pryluky is closer to Kyiv than to Chernihiv. So coming to Chernihiv on the day of a specialist visit is convenient from Nizhyn at most. Chernihiv is an ancient city, home to the Ancient Chernihiv reserve, and an industrial one at the same time: chemicals, food, light industry and woodworking are well developed here, and forests cover a fifth of the region. Our examples, all invented, come from that and from the road to Kyiv. It can happen like this: a man from Chernihiv works in Kyiv and comes home at weekends, and the family has less and less money. A question for him: “Since July 1 this year, have you lost money in an online casino?” He can take the test in Kyiv or online. Now imagine two co-owners of a joinery workshop near Chernihiv: one buys the timber, and the other suspects that the supplier was not chosen on price. The question: “This year, since January 1, have you taken money from timber suppliers for buying from them?” The third example is the owner of several minibuses on the Chernihiv–Kyiv route, where one driver's takings are noticeably lower than the others'. A question for the driver: “Since September 1 this year, have you kept part of the cash received from passengers?”

If several people need to be tested, for example all the drivers, a visit is more convenient: in one trip the specialist tests them one after another. We test in your office, a room in the workshop building or a hotel room: the place must be quiet and needs a table and a socket; we confirm it before we travel. Like everyone else, people in Chernihiv say “polygraph test” about any lie detector test. But we put no sensors on the body: EyeDetect and VerifEye assess eye reactions, and a classic polygraph is a different method that we offer neither in Chernihiv nor in Kyiv.
