Lie detector test in London: what to know

London is the capital of the United Kingdom, where many Ukrainians live and work, so people here often need the test in their native language. The fastest option is the VerifEye smartphone test, which you can take today. For an EyeDetect test, a specialist travels from Lviv with the equipment by bus and plane; we agree on the date in advance, once several requests come in from the region.

How to take the test in London

We have no office in London. We only work by travelling to the client with EyeDetect equipment or online via VerifEye.

  • Online today: VerifEye

You receive a link, the person takes the test from a phone in a quiet room, in 15–20 minutes. The PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test, the examiner's explanation the same day. Suitable for fidelity checks and job candidates.

  • Specialist visit with EyeDetect

Visits are scheduled around requests: we collect several requests in the region and set a date. The test takes place in your office or a rented room. 6–8 people can be tested in a day.

How much will the test in London cost?

Answer 5 short questions and a specialist will calculate the exact price of a visit or an online test and call you back. Free and with no obligation.

Common reasons to book a test

  • Theft or missing money

When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.

  • Infidelity in a relationship

We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.

  • Job candidate or employee

Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.

  • Dispute without evidence

A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.

What people come to us with

Typical requests from different cities and countries, without names or details.

  • Companies

    Traffic arbitrage

Screening candidates and employees to check whether they pass the company's offers to competitors.

  • Companies

    Call centres

Screening operators before hiring, and internal investigations when staff have access to money or the client database.

  • Businesses and families

Theft at work or at home

When several people are under suspicion, each takes the test with the same questions. Minors take it only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present.

  • Couples

    Suspected infidelity

The test checks one specific suspicion over a certain period. We draw up the questions together, and the person reads them in advance.

The test result is not court evidence.

Questions about the test in London

  • We have no office in London, so there are two options. You can take the VerifEye online test today on your phone, in a quiet room at home or at work. The EyeDetect test takes place during a specialist visit, in your office or a rented room in London.

  • VerifEye online test: UAH 2,500 (≈ £42) for one question, UAH 4,000 (≈ £66) for three, UAH 6,000 (≈ £100) for six, with no extra charges. EyeDetect with a visit: from UAH 10,000 (≈ £166) for one question and UAH 15,000 (≈ £249) for three, plus travel from Lviv and the venue. Prices are in hryvnias; pound amounts are approximate, at the NBU rate of 15.09.2026.

  • We plan trips to the United Kingdom once several requests come in from the region, so we cannot tell you in advance how long the wait will be. A Ukrainian citizen needs a UK visa, which has to be obtained before departure, so we agree on the date well ahead. Once the date is agreed, a specialist comes from Lviv with EyeDetect equipment, and the test takes place in your office or a rented room. If you need an answer sooner, you can take the VerifEye online test today: the test takes 15–20 minutes, and the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test.

  • There is no direct bus from Lviv to London: FlixBus itineraries run with two or three changes, taking 44 to 60 hours by timetable, and a one-way ticket costs roughly UAH 6,500–13,800 (≈ £108–229). It is faster to take a bus to Poland and fly from there: the bus to Rzeszów airport takes 6.5–7 hours by timetable, and the Rzeszów — London Stansted flight takes 2 hours 35–40 minutes, with daily departures. The bus reaches the airport at 13:15, so catching a flight the same day is not always possible. From Kraków there are 2–4 flights to London a day, and the bus there takes 6–11 hours by timetable. A one-way trip via Rzeszów, including a bag for the equipment, costs roughly UAH 3,000–12,400 (≈ £50–206) depending on the dates, not counting the journey from the airport into the city or an overnight stay. Travel and the venue are paid separately from the test. We will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are known.

  • Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ £42), and you do not need to wait for a visit.

  • Yes. You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. English works if the person does not speak Ukrainian or Russian. We do not run the test in other languages. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.

  • There is no separate UK law on private lie detector tests. Polygraphs are mentioned only where the state uses them: as a release licence condition under the Offender Management Act 2007 (England and Wales), in counter-terrorism measures under the 2011 Act, and in state-threats measures under the National Security Act 2023. Licence-condition tests are run by the probation service under the Polygraph Rules 2009. In all three regimes, what a person says during the session and their physiological reactions may not be used against them in criminal proceedings. A private test falls under the UK data protection rules — the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) considers a worker's consent an unreliable basis because of the imbalance of power, and requires a data protection impact assessment before high-risk checks, so talk to a lawyer before such a test. In the UK cases we found, courts did not take private polygraph results into account: employment tribunals in Henry v Tattu Manchester (2023) and McCarthy v Sue Ryder (2022) refused to consider them, and the family court in AB v BB (2026) gave them no weight. Our result is not court evidence either.
