How to take the test in Sofia

We have no office in Sofia. We only work by travelling to the client with EyeDetect equipment or online via VerifEye.

  • Online today: VerifEye

You receive a link, the person takes the test from a phone in a quiet room, in 15–20 minutes. The PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test, the examiner's explanation the same day. Suitable for fidelity checks and job candidates.

  • Specialist visit with EyeDetect

Visits are scheduled around requests: we collect several requests in the region and set a date. The test takes place in your office or a rented room. 6–8 people can be tested in a day.

How much will the test in Sofia cost?

Answer 5 short questions and a specialist will calculate the exact price of a visit or an online test and call you back. Free and with no obligation.

Common reasons to book a test

  • Theft or missing money

When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.

  • Infidelity in a relationship

We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.

  • Job candidate or employee

Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.

  • Dispute without evidence

A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.

What people come to us with

Typical requests from different cities and countries, without names or details.

  • Companies

    Traffic arbitrage

Screening candidates and employees to check whether they pass the company's offers to competitors.

  • Companies

    Call centres

Screening operators before hiring, and internal investigations when staff have access to money or the client database.

  • Businesses and families

Theft at work or at home

When several people are under suspicion, each takes the test with the same questions. Minors take it only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present.

  • Couples

    Suspected infidelity

The test checks one specific suspicion over a certain period. We draw up the questions together, and the person reads them in advance.

The test result is not court evidence.

Questions about the test in Sofia

  • There are two options. The VerifEye online test is taken on a phone in a quiet room at home or at work: we send the link at an agreed time, the test takes 15–20 minutes, and the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after it. The EyeDetect test takes place during a specialist visit, in your office or a rented room in Sofia; no special equipped room is needed, a quiet room with a table, a chair and a power outlet is enough.

  • VerifEye online test: UAH 2,500 (≈ EUR 49) for one question, UAH 4,000 (≈ EUR 78) for three, UAH 6,000 (≈ EUR 116) for six, with no extra charges. EyeDetect with a visit: from UAH 10,000 (≈ EUR 194) for one question and UAH 15,000 (≈ EUR 291) for three, plus travel from Lviv and the venue. Prices are in hryvnias; euro amounts are approximate, at the NBU rate of 15.09.2026.

  • We plan trips to Bulgaria once several requests come in from the region, so we do not promise an exact date in advance. Once the date is agreed, a specialist comes from Lviv with EyeDetect equipment, and the test takes place in your office or a rented room in Sofia. If you need an answer sooner, you can take the VerifEye online test today: it takes 15–20 minutes, and the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test.

  • The direct Lviv — Sofia bus takes 22 hours 50 minutes by timetable, and a one-way ticket costs UAH 5,787 (≈ EUR 112); on the dates we checked it ran on Tuesdays only. A bus with one change near Chernivtsi ran on every date we checked: 23 hours 30 minutes and UAH 4,300 (≈ EUR 83) one way. A cheaper option is the Lviv — Chernivtsi train (4.5–7 hours, UAH 123–407) plus the bus from Chernivtsi to Sofia (UAH 3,800, ≈ EUR 74), about 26–27 hours in total. There are no direct flights from Lviv: Ryanair flies to Sofia from Kraków, Warsaw Modlin and Budapest from EUR 15 one way, but you first need a bus to Kraków, Warsaw or Budapest (from EUR 23.49), and a 20 kg checked bag costs EUR 21.49–59.99 when booking. Travel and the venue are paid separately from the test. We will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are known.

  • Yes, but only with that person's written consent: we do not run covert checks. In Sofia the fastest route is the VerifEye online test from UAH 2,500 (≈ EUR 49), with no wait for a visit. Often both partners take the test separately, each with their own list of questions. If there is more than one suspicion, take the three- or six-question package.

  • Yes. You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. We do not run the test in Bulgarian. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.

  • We found no Bulgarian law that regulates private voluntary tests. The words «полиграф» and «детектор на лъжата» appear neither in the Labour Code, nor in the Personal Data Protection Act, nor in the Criminal Procedure Code, nor in the Ministry of Interior Act. Bulgaria is in the EU, so the GDPR rules apply, and the supervisory authority is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP). Article 29 of the Bulgarian Constitution requires voluntary written consent for medical, scientific and other experiments; no law or court has said whether such a test counts as an experiment, but we work only with written consent in any case, and we test minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter. A Bulgarian labour-law specialist takes the view in his commentary that voluntary written consent is required and that refusing the test is not a disciplinary breach; this is commentary, not a statute or a court ruling. Article 25к of the Personal Data Protection Act allows candidate data to be kept for no longer than six months, unless the candidate agrees to a longer period. So talk to a lawyer before testing employees or job candidates. In Decision No. 342 of 10.10.2023 in case No. 482/2023, Bulgaria's Supreme Court of Cassation held that a polygraph is not a valid means of evidence and can only guide the investigation at the pre-trial stage; the court ruled the same way in Decisions No. 61/2013 and No. 97/2019. For public service the rules may change: in March 2026 the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior published a draft making a polygraph test a mandatory stage of promotion competitions for managerial posts in the ministry, but it is only a draft and it does not apply to private tests. Our result is not court evidence.
