Lie detector test in Luxembourg: what to know

Luxembourg is the capital of the Grand Duchy, about 1,520 km from Lviv. German is one of the country's official languages, so the test can be taken in German, Ukrainian, Russian or English. The fastest option is the VerifEye smartphone test, which you can take today. For an EyeDetect test, a specialist travels from Lviv with the equipment; we agree on the date in advance, once several requests come in from the region.

How to take the test in Luxembourg

We have no office in Luxembourg. We only work by travelling to the client with EyeDetect equipment or online via VerifEye.

  • Online today: VerifEye

You receive a link, the person takes the test from a phone in a quiet room, in 15–20 minutes. The PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test, the examiner's explanation the same day. Suitable for fidelity checks and job candidates.

  • Specialist visit with EyeDetect

Visits are scheduled around requests: we collect several requests in the region and set a date. The test takes place in your office or a rented room. 6–8 people can be tested in a day.

How much will the test in Luxembourg cost?

Answer 5 short questions and a specialist will calculate the exact price of a visit or an online test and call you back. Free and with no obligation.

Common reasons to book a test

  • Theft or missing money

When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.

  • Infidelity in a relationship

We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.

  • Job candidate or employee

Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.

  • Dispute without evidence

A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.

What people come to us with

Typical requests from different cities and countries, without names or details.

  • Companies

    Traffic arbitrage

Screening candidates and employees to check whether they pass the company's offers to competitors.

  • Companies

    Call centres

Screening operators before hiring, and internal investigations when staff have access to money or the client database.

  • Businesses and families

Theft at work or at home

When several people are under suspicion, each takes the test with the same questions. Minors take it only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present.

  • Couples

    Suspected infidelity

The test checks one specific suspicion over a certain period. We draw up the questions together, and the person reads them in advance.

The test result is not court evidence.

Questions about the test in Luxembourg

  • We have no office in Luxembourg, so there are two options. You can take the VerifEye online test today on your phone, in a quiet room at home or at work. The EyeDetect test takes place during a specialist visit, in your office or a rented room in Luxembourg.

  • VerifEye online test: UAH 2,500 (≈ €49) for one question, UAH 4,000 (≈ €78) for three, UAH 6,000 (≈ €116) for six, with no extra charges. EyeDetect with a visit: from UAH 10,000 (≈ €194) for one question and UAH 15,000 (≈ €291) for three, plus travel from Lviv and the venue. Prices are in hryvnias; euro amounts are approximate, at the NBU rate of 15.09.2026.

  • We plan trips to Luxembourg once several requests come in from the region, so we cannot tell you in advance how long the wait will be. Once the date is agreed, a specialist comes from Lviv with EyeDetect equipment, and the test takes place in your office or a rented room. If you need an answer sooner, you can take the VerifEye online test today: the test takes 15–20 minutes, and the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test.

  • There is no direct bus from Lviv to Luxembourg: every service runs with one or two changes and takes 31–39 hours by timetable. The fastest option is a bus to Kraków arriving at 13:00 and then the direct Kraków — Luxembourg service, about 31 hours in total; a one-way ticket costs roughly UAH 3,450–4,800 (≈ €67–93), and up to UAH 9,870 (≈ €191) on the longer routes. It is faster to reach Kraków and fly on. Luxair schedules direct Kraków — Luxembourg flights on Mondays and Fridays, though not every week, so we check the timetable against the actual dates. A Ryanair flight to Charleroi takes about 2 hours and costs UAH 1,030–7,540 (≈ €20–146) one way, and from there the Flibco shuttle to Luxembourg takes 2.5 hours and starts at UAH 1,030 (≈ €20). By car it is about 1,520 km and 15.5 hours of pure driving, not counting border queues and rest breaks. Travel and the venue are paid separately from the test. We will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are known.

  • Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ €49), and you do not need to wait for a visit.

  • You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. German is one of Luxembourg's official languages. We do not run the test in Luxembourgish or French. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.

  • We found no Luxembourg law that mentions the polygraph or the lie detector: not in the Labour Code, not in the Code of Criminal Procedure, and not in the laws on the police or the State Intelligence Service (SRE). A search on the site of the supervisory authority, the CNPD (Commission nationale pour la protection des données), returns nothing either. A private voluntary test therefore falls under the general rules: the EU data protection regulation (GDPR) and the Luxembourg law of 1 August 2018, which the CNPD enforces. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for testing employees and job candidates are stricter. If such a check counts as surveillance of employees, article L.261-1 of the Labour Code applies: the employer first informs the joint works council (comité mixte), or, if there is none, the staff delegation, and if there is no delegation either, the Labour Inspectorate (ITM). The delegation may ask the CNPD for an opinion within 15 days, and the processing is suspended for that time. We found no guidance and no case law on whether a one-off test falls under this article. So talk to a lawyer before such a test. In a 2017 criminal case the court refused a defence request for a voluntary lie detector test. According to Luxemburger Wort, the reason was apparently that such tests lack a reliable scientific basis; we could not find the text of the judgment itself. Our result is not court evidence.
