Common reasons to book a test
Theft or missing money
When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.
Infidelity in a relationship
We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.
Job candidate or employee
Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.
Dispute without evidence
A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.
What people come to us with
Typical requests from different cities and countries, without names or details.
Companies
Traffic arbitrage
Screening candidates and employees to check whether they pass the company's offers to competitors.
Companies
Call centres
Screening operators before hiring, and internal investigations when staff have access to money or the client database.
Businesses and families
Theft at work or at home
When several people are under suspicion, each takes the test with the same questions. Minors take it only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present.
Couples
Suspected infidelity
The test checks one specific suspicion over a certain period. We draw up the questions together, and the person reads them in advance.
The test result is not court evidence.

Questions about the test in Rome
We have no office in Rome, so there are two options. You can take the VerifEye online test today on your phone, in a quiet room at home or at work. The EyeDetect test takes place during a specialist visit, in your office or a rented room in Rome. A quiet room with a table, a chair and a power outlet is enough.
VerifEye online test: UAH 2,500 (≈ €49) for one question, UAH 4,000 (≈ €78) for three, UAH 6,000 (≈ €116) for six, with no extra charges. EyeDetect with a visit: from UAH 10,000 (≈ €194) for one question and UAH 15,000 (≈ €291) for three, plus travel from Lviv and the venue. We plan trips to Italy once several requests come in from the region, so we cannot tell you in advance how long the wait will be. Once the date is agreed, a specialist comes from Lviv with EyeDetect equipment, and the test takes place in your office or a rented room. If you need an answer sooner, you can take the VerifEye online test today: the test takes 15–20 minutes, the PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test, and the examiner explains it the same day.
The direct bus from Lviv to Rome takes 31 hours 50 minutes by timetable: it leaves the Sokilnyky bus terminal at 18:40 on Thursdays and Sundays and arrives at 01:30 local time. A one-way ticket costs €132 (≈ UAH 6,800) plus about €1 booking fee; we check the exact Rome stop address on the ticket before travelling. Buses with changes take 36–52 hours, with a one-way ticket at roughly UAH 4,600–9,900. A bus to Kraków airport (9–10 hours) plus a flight to Ciampino airport (2 hours) is faster. That is about 16.5 hours including the wait. The bus, the flight and a checked bag for the equipment cost roughly UAH 3,400–10,600 one way, depending on the dates. There are also flights to Rome from Katowice, Warsaw Modlin and Budapest. By car it is about 1,875 km from Lviv and 20 hours of pure driving, excluding border queues. All amounts are one way. Travel and the venue are paid separately from the test. We will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are known.

Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ €49), and you do not need to wait for a visit.
You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. We do not run it in Italian. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.
We found no Italian law that specifically regulates private lie detector tests. In criminal proceedings, article 188 of the code of criminal procedure applies: methods and techniques that affect a person's freedom of self-determination, or alter their ability to recall and evaluate facts, are banned even with that person's consent. Article 64 sets the same rule for questioning a suspect. The law does not name the polygraph: the official explanatory report to the 1988 code listed the lie detector alongside narcoanalysis, hypnosis and truth serum. Italian lawyers disagree on whether a device that only detects lies falls under the ban: some say it does not, because the person stays free to answer, others say it does. Courts have mostly rejected reaction-time memory tests (a-IAT): the Court of Cassation on 10 April 2015 found their results not significant, the Brescia Court of Appeal on 11 November 2020 called such a test too invasive, the Salerno Court of Appeal on 16 December 2016 found it methodologically unsound, and the Tribunal of Venice in 2013 treated it as experimental. We found no Court of Cassation ruling on a classic polygraph test. A private voluntary test falls under the EU data protection rules (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended in 2018); the supervisory authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali in Rome. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for employees and job candidates are stricter: article 8 of the Workers' Statute (Law 300/1970) bars an employer from investigating facts that are not relevant to assessing professional aptitude. Article 171 of the Personal Data Protection Code punishes a breach with a fine or arrest from 15 days to 1 year. Article 10 of Legislative Decree 276/2003 bars recruitment agencies from such screening even with the worker's consent. So talk to a lawyer before testing staff or candidates. Our result is not court evidence.
