For an EyeDetect test, a specialist travels from Lviv with the equipment via Kraków airport; we agree on the date in advance, once several requests come in from the region.

How to take the test in Valletta

We have no office in Valletta. We only work by travelling to the client with EyeDetect equipment or online via VerifEye.

  • Online today: VerifEye

You receive a link, the person takes the test from a phone in a quiet room, in 15–20 minutes. The PDF report comes within 5 minutes after the test, the examiner's explanation the same day. Suitable for fidelity checks and job candidates.

  • Specialist visit with EyeDetect

Visits are scheduled around requests: we collect several requests in the region and set a date. The test takes place in your office or a rented room. 6–8 people can be tested in a day.

How much will the test in Valletta cost?

Answer 5 short questions and a specialist will calculate the exact price of a visit or an online test and call you back. Free and with no obligation.

Common reasons to book a test

  • Theft or missing money

When several people are under suspicion, each of them answers the same questions. The result is not court evidence and is no substitute for reporting to the police.

  • Infidelity in a relationship

We check one specific suspicion: we draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance. The test is voluntary and requires written consent.

  • Job candidate or employee

Screening before hiring or during employment on agreed topics, such as theft at a previous job or ties to competitors.

  • Dispute without evidence

A debt, an agreement or an accusation where it is one person's word against another's: the test checks a specific version of events. The result is not court evidence.

What people come to us with

Typical requests from different cities and countries, without names or details.

  • Companies

    Traffic arbitrage

Screening candidates and employees to check whether they pass the company's offers to competitors.

  • Companies

    Call centres

Screening operators before hiring, and internal investigations when staff have access to money or the client database.

  • Businesses and families

Theft at work or at home

When several people are under suspicion, each takes the test with the same questions. Minors take it only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present.

  • Couples

    Suspected infidelity

The test checks one specific suspicion over a certain period. We draw up the questions together, and the person reads them in advance.

The test result is not court evidence.

  • Malta is an island, so there is no direct bus or train from Lviv, and the trip has two legs. Lviv to Kraków is about 341 km and 3.8 hours by road, not counting the queue at the border. Then comes the Ryanair flight to Malta airport: 2 hours 35 minutes by timetable, and 2 hours 40 minutes from 25 October 2026. It runs daily, and a one-way ticket costs roughly UAH 1,130–4,660 (€22–90) in October and UAH 1,130–7,920 (€22–154) in November. Rzeszów is closer — 172 km and 2.4 hours by road. But flights to Malta run only on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the last one scheduled is 24 October 2026. A one-way ticket costs UAH 1,030–5,770 (€20–112). There are also daily flights from Warsaw Modlin (about 3 hours, UAH 1,080–9,580) and flights on most days from Katowice (about 2 hours 45 minutes, UAH 1,290–8,300). Ryanair charges UAH 1,110–3,090 (€21.49–59.99) per flight for a 20 kg checked bag with the equipment, if it is paid for at booking. Malta airport to Valletta is about 10 km and 20 minutes by road. There is one surface option — through Sicily. The Virtu Ferries catamaran from Pozzallo to Malta takes 1 hour 45 minutes by timetable. By car from Lviv it is about 2,870 km and 32 hours of pure driving including two ferries. All amounts are one way; travel and the venue are paid separately from the test, and we will give you the exact round-trip amount once the dates are known.

  • Yes. The test checks one specific suspicion, for example infidelity over a certain period. The partner under suspicion takes it, or both partners take separate tests. The test is voluntary and requires written consent. The VerifEye online test costs from UAH 2,500 (≈ €49), and you do not need to wait for a visit.

  • You can take the test in Ukrainian, Russian, English or German. English is one of Malta's official languages, so that option suits many people here. We do not run the test in Maltese. We draw up the questions together with you, and the person reads them in advance.

  • We found no Maltese law that mentions a polygraph, a lie detector or truth testing by eye movements. We read the full texts of the Criminal Code (Cap. 9), the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure (Cap. 12), the Police Act (Cap. 164), the Security Service Act (Cap. 391), the Employment and Industrial Relations Act (Cap. 452), the Prisons Act (Cap. 260) and several other acts. So a private voluntary test is neither specifically banned nor licensed — it is simply unregulated, and only the personal data rules apply. Malta is an EU member state, so the GDPR applies directly, and the Data Protection Act (Cap. 586, in force since 28 May 2018) implements and further specifies it. The supervisory authority is the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), and its decisions are appealed to the Information and Data Protection Appeals Tribunal. We test only with written consent, and minors only with written consent from their parents and with the parents present. The rules for employees and job candidates are stricter. The IDPC says employee consent is generally not a valid legal basis because of the power imbalance with the employer, so another basis is needed, such as legitimate interest under GDPR article 6(1)(f), with a check of necessity and of whether a less intrusive method exists. On candidates, the IDPC writes about pre-employment medical examinations: they may be required only where the job calls for it, candidates should be told at interview stage, and a candidate may not be rejected solely for refusing. By analogy we assume that testing candidates on a lie detector faces at least the same necessity and proportionality requirements. Talk to a lawyer before testing staff. We found no IDPC guidance specifically on polygraphs or eye-movement testing. A search of the eCourts judgments database for "polygraph" and "lie detector" returns no Maltese judgment, and the Criminal Code and the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure do not mention such evidence. Admissibility in Malta therefore remains unclear, and our result is not court evidence.
